Rotary is the largest service organization in the world. Over 1.2 million men and women from around the world, young and old, with different talents to share and different paths to walk, we all unite under the banner of Rotary. As diverse as we are, as Rotarians we share a common core value - “Service Above Self”. That, to me, is what defines Rotary. I am proud to be a Rotarian and honored to serve as the Lakeland Noon Rotary Club President for the 2013-14 Rotary Year.
The Lakeland Noon Rotary Club is not my club, it is OUR club, it is YOUR club. If you have an idea – lets do it – this is the year. The Rotary International motto for the 2013-14 year is “Engage Rotary…Change Lives”. Ron Burton, our RI President, shares with all of us this thought “…in Rotary service, as in just about everything else in life, the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.” I encourage everyone, Rotarian and non-Rotarian to take his advice. “Step out of the shadows and do good. Leave a legacy.” (by 2011 Noble Peace Prize winner Laureate Leyman Gbowee). If you’re a current Rotarian, thank you for your fellowship and service. If you are thinking about joining Rotary – we welcome you to visit our club any Thursday at noon at Norwood Pines Supper Club.
What’s your legacy?
I look forward to a wonderful year!

Elections for our club's board of directors will take place on December 12th. If you can't be there, you can submit an absentee ballot.
Please sign up for a shift or 2 at the Christmas tree and wreath sale. This is one of our biggest fundraisers and we need the help of everyone who is able.
