Welcome to Rotary Year 2011-12!
I am honored to serve as club president. Rotary has become a big part of my life because it gives me the tools to help others while I make friends, have fun and become a better person. In my term, I want to focus on building friendships through Fellowship Groups, having more social events and doing fun things during the meetings to help us get to know one another better. I also want to help our club grow. Finally, I want to move forward with the ideas and goals we set in the Visioning process.
Together we can achieve anything. I have truly never seen a better group of people come together for the same purpose. You are all wonderful and I look forward to working with and getting to know each of you better.
For the growth goal, I ask that each of you invite just one person to a meeting. And as a start toward building the Fellowship Groups, please join at least one and if you can’t find one you like, start one of your own. I am going to propose a Book Fellowship, a Walking Fellowship and a Scrapbooking Fellowship. None of these may be right for you, but I know there is something that you would like to share and do with others. I am confident that only good can come through fellowship. And I propose that spouses/significant others be welcome to join the fellowships. Bringing the “family” into Rotary is very important.
Thanks again for this opportunity.

Kovar Planetarium - social event for May
If you have not been to the Kovar Planetarium, this is an absolute must! Frank Kovar has almost single-handedly built the world's largest mechanical globe planetarium - right here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin!! Sit inside the 22' diameter globe while Frank spins the stars around you and tells you his amazing story, as well as the story of the night sky. Wednesday, May 16th at 6 pm. Plan to carpool, since it's a bit past Monaco.
May Students of the Month
Congratulations to Kaylin C. and Ben D., our outstanding students.
